Caring, teaching and keeping culture strong

Nja-marléya Cultural Leaders and Justice Group - who we are

  • NT Aboriginal Law & Justice Groups Forum 2026

We’re so proud to host the very first NT Aboriginal Law & Justice Groups Forum 2026! To register, scan the QR code in our comments section.

This forum will bring together Aboriginal Law and Justice Groups from across remote communities in the Northern Territory, alongside government and community partners, to strengthen justice outcomes in remote communities.

Community Courts and the Aboriginal Justice Agreement will be at the heart of the conversations, with opportunities to share stories, celebrate impact and learn from what’s working well on the ground.

Under the theme “Walking Together, Standing Strong”, we are united in our commitment to drive community-led action for better justice outcomes and safer communities.

“Nja-marléya means we are the body of the community. Looking after people. For the law and justice leaders and elders to come together and share the knowledge for Kunibidji. My hope is we would like to see Nja-marléya growing, walking, towards you.”
